Better, but still not great

So the day managed to end up better than it started. She didn't show up until just before I left so I didn't really have to deal with her. Got to class ok, did pretty good on the quiz and got out of school at 9:30 so I got home by 10. YEY! I also managed to get my bookcrossing shelf fixed. Bloody thing was acting up all day but it seems to be working well now. I'm bitching about work again. I have to get past this work mess. I can't wait 'till the weekend. When Dan get's back, we're going to have a bit, I'm going to shower and then I'm going to sleep. SLEEP! YES!

The Nightmare Continues

As if yesterday wasn't a crappy enough day, I've been sitting here all day today waiting for her to show up so we could work on the freakin' email and she's not here. Well, at this point I hope she doesn't show up until after 4:15 so that I don't have to work on it today. I've been worrying about it all day. What a nightmare. I wish I could ask the agency to find something else for me. But what if they don't have anyting right away? Then I have to wait around with no work and I can't do that. Life really sucks. I did ok on my Sociology exam. Got 70.5% but because everyone did so poorly, she added 15% to everyone's score which brought me up a letter grade and a half. Haven't looked what grade that percentage got me but I think it's up in the B's. I'm going to go and vent now. Maybe it'll make me feel better.

Time Machine

Sometimes I wish I had one of these and today is one of those days. Actually, the last 4 weeks have been a frenzy. Between work, school and everything else that I do, I'm surprised I can make time to sleep! So far, school has been good. Classes are pretty interesting. Crunch time is starting to come into play though. I have a bunch of final projects, assignments and exams coming up. *grrrrr* Work is ok. I've been placed at a construction company. At first I thought it would only be for a few weeks but I've been here for over a month now and I think this might turn our to be a long engagement. It's a really small office, something I'm not used to but, I'm starting to get the hang of things and Patti, the manager, isn't too bad (considering she's mostly out of the office now that I'm pretty much trained). I'm considering contacting the temp agency and letting them know that I'd be interested in the job full time when she finally decides to hire someone. In the meantime, it pays the bills. Things are finally starting to happen for Dan. He had an interview at Office Depot last week and is now waiting to hear from them. Also, he contacted Hertz and they're going to be looking for more people starting in 4 to 6 weeks. Office Depot would be better because it makes use of his computer training but Hertz pays better. We'll see how things go and what pans out. We're also trying to sell the car. It's starting to show signs that it needs major work and we jsut can't affort it. I hope someone buys it soon... Gotta jet. More work just found its way to my desk.
